Premises-Based IP VPN Services
Premises-Based IP Virtual Private Network Services (PBIP-VPNS) are typically Internet Protocol Security (IPSEC) tunnel-based services based at the customer location. These services utilize customer edge (CE) devices to encrypt and decrypt traffic before it enters and leaves the customers network. The CE devices connect to fully or partially meshed Layer 3 IP VPN networks across the Verizon cloud, providing security on an end-to-end basis Verizon has no visibility into the IP tunnel.
