IP Video Transport Services
IP Video Transport Services (IPVTS) deliver video traffic over a managed IP network. For customers who control and manage their own video conference systems, IPVTS offers reliable, high quality underlying IP transport network services.
- End User Training. Verizon offers a full range of implementation and education programs for end users. These programs enable end users to increase productivity, reduce travel expenses, and accelerate decision-making time. Program examples include call scheduling, product and feature demonstrations, troubleshooting tips, and application overviews to help streamline communications.
- Single Point of Contact. Verizon provides IPVTS customers with a single point of contact for uniform quality and service throughout the world. For example, with the Verizon global Reservation System, customers have bridge control both locally and remotely for seamless reservations and for utilization of our worldwide video bridge capacity. Also, operations personnel are available to schedule services and provide technical assistance as needed.
- Demand-Based Provisioning. Verizon provisions IPVTS network based on customer demand. To do this, we gather switch and reservations statistics daily to obtain a clear understanding of customers network utilization.
Verizon IPVTS boasts features that can dramatically simplify customer's communications, including:
- Superior performance. Verizon maintains bridge port capacity at a minimum level of 25% above anticipated call volume, which enables Verizon to handle unforeseen issues as well as provide time to ramp up for aggressive new growth.
- Service levels. Verizon provides three service levels (Premier, Standard and Instant Video) so that customers have the level of support they need for every call. In addition, every video conference comes with four services that ensure efficiency and success. Compression Methods provide ITU-T H.320 and H.3232 standards for ISDN and IP multimedia conferencing. Meeting Assurance enables meetings to continue as planned and on time in the unlikely event of a technical issue. Meeting Confirmation provides email notification to all participants of reserved conferences. Voice Activated Viewing allows all locations on the conference to view the site that is currently speaking.
- Value-Added Features. Customers can choose from many value-added features to enhance their video conferences.
- *0 Operation Assistance allows them to signal for assistance on standard and instant video calls. Multipoint Control Unit (MCU)
- Cascading provides cascading to customer-owned MCUs as needed.
- Audio Add-On adds from 1 to 20,000 audio participants to the video call.
- Personal Layout allows call leaders and participants to select and change their own personal continuous presence screen layout options.
- Click and View is a visual display that includes the operator assistance and personal layout function.
- Public Rooms provide referrals to more than 500 public rooms worldwide.
- Conference Room Scheduling allows Verizon to schedule all meetings conducted in the customers registered rooms.
- Recurring Call Reservation establishes a recurring reservation for regularly scheduled, recurring meetings.
- Continuous Presence provides a view up to nine sites on screen at one time.
