Available under both Networx Universal and Networx Enterprise, our Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS) helps federal agencies address their trusted internet connections (TIC) mandate by providing a secure and reliable connection to the public internet and other external networks.
MTIPS facilitates the reduction of Internet connections in government networks and provides standard security services to government users – creating a strong security standard across all agencies.
MTIPS includes an Einstein Enclave computer network intrusion detection system that automatically monitors and analyzes internet traffic when it moves in and out of federal computer networks by filtering packets at the perimeter. MTIPS also uses other key security components, including a security operations centers (SOC) for agency protection, transport services from agency WAN to TIC portals, and redundant Internet access services. It also provides flexibility so agencies can implement solutions that will address their unique requirements.
Components for MTIPS include:
Banner Memorandum of Agreement (Banner MOA) – In order to receive MTIPS services, agencies must sign a Banner MOA. This agreement is between the agency and DHS. This is required regardless of the MTIPS provider. The Banner MOA confirms that the agency understands that internet traffic will be scanned by DHS/USCert Einstein. Agencies are responsible for ensuring that their employees understand that all traffic will be scanned.
